About GPP

Government Polytechnic Peren (GPP) was established on March 2021 under the Department of Technical Education, Nagaland Kohima. The foundation stone was laid in the year 2015, and the buildings was completed by 2019. However due to the pandemic the inauguration and starting of the Academic session was delayed. The Government Polytechnic Peren is the first Polytechnic under the district of Peren and is situated in New Peren. The Institute is located in the landlocked  mountains of old Peren. It is around 15 kms from Jalukie town and around 30 kms from Old Peren town. The nearest airport is in Dimapur, which is nearly 2 hours drive or around 40 kms and the nearest railway is in Dimapur which is also around 45 kms. The weather is warm and humid in summer and pleasant in winter.

The course selected to be offered in the Polytechnic is Interior Design. The Polytechnic is AICTE approved.
